The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology recently issued a document, officially identifying the "Key Laboratory of Precision Machining Equipment and Intelligent Control" led by Zhejiang Nuoken Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. as a provincial key laboratory, which is the first provincial key laboratory in the field of machinery manufacturing in Wenzhou.
The laboratory covers an area of 1,800 square meters, equipped with 23 sets of internationally advanced testing equipment such as coordinate measuring machines and laser interferometers, and has 42 full-time researchers, among whom 35% have doctoral degrees. The laboratory has three research directions: precision spindle technology, intelligent control system, and green manufacturing process, focusing on solving the "bottleneck" technical problems of high-end CNC machine tools.
The director of the laboratory introduced that breakthroughs have been made in the research and development of high-speed electric spindles. The independently developed HSK-A63 electric spindle has a maximum speed of 45,000 rpm and a dynamic balance accuracy of G0.4, with various indicators reaching the international first-class level, breaking the technical monopoly of Swiss and Japanese enterprises. This achievement has been applied to the company's high-end machining centers, increasing the processing efficiency of the equipment by 30% and reducing the noise to below 75 decibels.
To promote the integration of industry, university, and research, the laboratory has established a joint training mechanism with Zhejiang University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and set up special scholarships to fund postgraduates majoring in mechanical engineering. At present, 18 SCI papers have been jointly published, and 2 national-level scientific research projects and 5 provincial-level projects have been undertaken. Next, the laboratory will focus on tackling the processing process optimization technology driven by digital twins, planning to apply for 20 invention patents within three years, and develop high-end CNC systems with independent intellectual property rights.
